| HELPING * SERVING * CHANGING LIVES |
| |
Working to end poverty in a community is far more than any agency can do alone. In fact poverty touches every facet of a community: government, business,
schools, churches, hospitals, and agencies. It impacts the tax base and the housing market. It touches everyone. Because the impact is so big, it requires
all of us looking for effective solutions and strategies.
|
We are fortunate in Adams and Franklin Counties, we don't work to end poverty
alone. Our partners in business, local government, education and the faith
community, as well as, our countless volunteers are what enable us to work
together to make substancial changes in our community. We simply could not do
this work alone.
|
| So as we celebrate 45 years of serving the community - we want to thank each
of you for joining us in this important work. We are greatful for your support
and assistance! |

| Women, Infants and Children to hold a Public Meeting:
The WIC public meeting will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Family Health Council of Central Pennsylvania, Inc. 3461 Market Street, 3rd Floor, Suite 303, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
There is not a formal WIC presentation at this meeting. The meeting is a venue to provide interested persons an opportunity to present comments and recommendations on the goals and operation of the Pennsylvania WIC Program. The State Agency would like to obtain input from as many WIC participants, interested agencies and persons as possible.
Local agency cooperation and support are an essential part of the public meeting and State Plan process. We would appreciate your help in encouraging participation.
