CELEBRATING 45 YEARS OF SERVICE TO ADAMS AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES
.
HELPING * SERVING * CHANGING LIVES

This year SCCAP is celebrating 45 years of: serving the community, helping families, and changing the lives of our clients.  Like the young 18 year old senior in high school, a resident of the homeless shelter, who was just inducted into the National Honor Society or Cara who just became totally self-sufficient and no longer needs any help supporting her 2 young children,  SCCAP staff and volunteers work diligently to improve the lives of families in our county.

This year SCCAP served 26,000 clients.  That is an increase over the last five years of 10,000 individuals.  The downturn in the economy and the increase in the cost of living in our counties has made it difficult for so many families.  Our services help fill the gap and enable seniors on fixed incomes to have enough food and keep their utilities on as well as enable younger families to work toward self-sufficiency.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT

Working to end poverty in a community is far more than any agency can do alone. In fact poverty touches every facet of a community: government, business, schools, churches, hospitals, and agencies. It impacts the tax base and the housing market. It touches everyone. Because the impact is so big, it requires all of us looking for effective solutions and strategies.

We are fortunate in Adams and Franklin Counties, we don't work to end poverty alone. Our partners in business, local government, education and the faith community, as well as, our countless volunteers are what enable us to work together to make substancial changes in our community. We simply could not do this work alone.

So as we celebrate 45 years of serving the community - we want to thank each of you for joining us in this important work. We are greatful for your support and assistance!
