Early Learning Resource Center (Regions 6 and 10)
Early Learning Resource Centers are programs that:
Help working families or families participating in an approved training program afford child care
Provide resources and referral services for child care
Help parents understand the importance of quality early learning programs.
Work Ready is a program designed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services to assist families on Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF, Cash Assistance) overcome the barriers that prevent them from acquiring or maintaining employment. To participate in this program, you must be referred by the local County Assistance Program.
The Martin Luther King Career Aid Project
The MLK Career Aid Project helps provide scholarships to low income, disenfranchised individuals to help them improve their skills and employability. Applicants must be a resident of Adams County, not have their Bachelors degree, and be enrolled in a post secondary training program or college in a major or program geared toward employment. Income must be below 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines based on the FASFA. Scholarships range from $100 - $1,000 dollars. Download the application by clicking the button below.
